**Putin India Visit Live:** Russian President Vladimir Putin will arrive in India today (Thursday). PM Modi will host him for a private dinner. Russian President Vladimir Putin is arriving in India today on a two-day visit, and Delhi is fully prepared for this high-profile trip. This is Putin’s first visit to India after the Ukraine war began, so extremely strict diplomatic, security, and logistical arrangements have been made. Flex boards and Russian flags have been put up across the city to welcome him, while traffic diversions and security layers are already in place.

**Traffic diversions due to Putin’s visit**
Putin is expected to land in Delhi this evening and will go straight from the airport to his hotel on Sardar Patel Marg. Traffic may be affected on NH-8, Dhaula Kuan, and Delhi Cantonment areas. In the evening, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will host him for a private dinner, which may slow down traffic around Sardar Patel Marg, Panchsheel Marg, and Shanti Path. Delhi Police has not shared detailed information citing security reasons but has assured that roads will not remain blocked for long.

Friday will be even more challenging as Putin has back-to-back programmes throughout the day. He will visit Raj Ghat in the morning, followed by official meetings at Hyderabad House. There is an event scheduled at Bharat Mandapam in the afternoon, and a state banquet at Rashtrapati Bhavan in the evening. Due to these movements, traffic may be disrupted intermittently in areas like Raj Ghat, ITO, Ring Road, Tilak Marg, India Gate, Bhairon Road, Mathura Road, Mandi House, and Delhi Gate. If required, entry/exit at some metro stations may be temporarily restricted.

**How tight will Putin’s security be?**
Security arrangements are at their peak. As with every foreign trip of Putin, a multi-layered security shield has been prepared. A five-tier security system includes NSG commandos, snipers, jammers, drone surveillance, and AI-based monitoring technology. High-tech facial recognition cameras have been installed at key locations. More than 40 Russian security officials have already arrived in Delhi and are coordinating with NSG and Delhi Police. SPG will provide an additional security ring during meetings with PM Modi.

This visit is being seen as a turning point for India-Russia relations. The 23rd annual summit on Friday will focus on defence cooperation, energy, trade, and the impact of US sanctions. The pace of preparations and the level of security in the capital indicate that this visit is not just diplomatic but strategically very important.
