Fresh documents from the estate of Jeffrey Epstein, the late sex offender, have sparked big talk in Washington. Released on Friday by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee, these files name big names like Elon Musk and Britain’s Prince Andrew. They also mention tech boss Peter Thiel, Trump’s old advisor Steve Bannon, and Microsoft founder Bill Gates. But remember, being named does not mean they did anything wrong. The papers just show Epstein tried to connect with powerful people.

Elon Musk has not publicly commented on the latest development
Epstein ran a secret web of rich friends and bad acts. He died in 2019 in jail, waiting for trial on sex trafficking charges. Before that, in 2008, he cut a deal with Florida cops after hurting a 14-year-old girl at his home. His pal Ghislaine Maxwell got jail time in 2021 for helping him traffic young girls for sex. Now, these new files add to the story of how Epstein mixed with the elite long after his first crimes came out.
The files are the third batch from Epstein’s estate. They include phone notes, flight lists, money books, and his daily plans from 2010 to 2019. All in, the committee got over 8,500 pages. Many parts are blacked out to hide victim names and keep kids safe. Democrats say this helps survivors get justice. But Republicans call it a political game and plan to drop all files soon.
Elon Musk: Invite to the Island, But He Says No
One line jumps out: On December 6, 2014, Epstein’s schedule says, “Reminder: Elon Musk to island Dec. 6 (is this still happening?)” This points to his private spot, Little St. James, known as a place for his crimes. That was six years after Epstein’s first guilty plea for paying a minor for sex.

Musk, the Tesla and SpaceX boss, has said before that Epstein asked him to come but he turned it down. On Saturday, he hit back on X, his social media site, calling reports “false.” He has pushed for full release of Epstein files, even fighting with Trump over it earlier this year. No proof shows Musk went or knew about Epstein’s bad side.
Prince Andrew: Old Flight and Massage Notes
Prince Andrew, Queen Elizabeth’s second son, shows up in a flight list from May 12, 2000. It lists him on a trip from Teterboro, New Jersey, to West Palm Beach, Florida, with Epstein and Maxwell. Palace records say Andrew was in New York then for a kids’ charity event. He flew back to the UK on May 15.
Money books from February and May 2000 list payments for massages, exercise, and yoga for an “Andrew.” One cost $200. It’s not clear if it’s the prince, but times match his US trip. Andrew has always said he did nothing wrong with Epstein. He quit royal duties in 2019 after a lawsuit from accuser Virginia Giuffre, who said he abused her as a teen. He settled the case without saying sorry.
Other Big Names in the Mix
The files don’t stop there. Peter Thiel, PayPal co-founder, had a lunch set for November 2017. Steve Bannon, Trump’s ex-chief strategist, planned breakfast on February 17, 2019—just months before Epstein’s death. Bill Gates had a breakfast idea in December 2014. Gates later called meeting Epstein a “big mistake” in a 2022 BBC chat.
Spokeswoman Sara Guerrero for Oversight Democrats said, “Epstein was friends with the world’s richest and most powerful men. Each new paper helps us fight for victims.” She wants Attorney General Pam Bondi to free more files.
Republicans, led by Chair James Comer, say Democrats put politics first over victims. They promise to share everything soon, including bank info.
Why This Matters Now
Epstein’s case still hurts many. Accusers like Giuffre say they build lists of his helpers. Maxwell said in court she saw no bad acts by Trump with Epstein. Trump, who knew Epstein in the 90s, now calls the whole thing a “Democrat hoax.” He promised to declassify files but has not yet.
These drops come amid other news. Sarah Ferguson, Andrew’s ex-wife, lost charity jobs after an old email called Epstein her “best friend” post-jail. Musk fights free speech cases in India for X. And Trump claims a TikTok deal is set, but details hide.
Experts say Epstein’s circle shows how money shields crime. A 2019 probe found over 80 hidden papers tying him to elites. But no new proof here links these names to abuse. It’s a reminder: Power can blind us, but truth digs deep.
As more files roll out, questions grow. Who else knew? Will justice come for all victims? America watches close. This story of wealth, secrets, and pain won’t fade easy
