An Indian -origin pediatrician, Neha Gupta, was arrested in South Florida for killing her 4 -year -old daughter, Aria Talathi. The tragic incident took place on 27 June 2025, while he was holidaying in a village El portal near Miami. Officials say Dr Gupta, a 36 -year -old doctor from Oklahoma City, staged his daughter’s death like an accidental drowning. However, the body examination found no water in the lungs of Aria, which pointed to the more disturbing truth. Gupta is now facing an first-degree murder charge and is waiting for the extradition of Miami-Dad County. This shocking case has left communities in both India and the USA. What happened in the El portal? Gupta and his daughter were living on a short -term rental in the El portal. Around 3:30 pm, Gupta called 911, reporting that Aria had drowned in the pool. When the police and fire rescue arrived, they found 4 years old universal in water. Despite CPR’s efforts, Aria was declared dead at the Rider Trauma Center of Jackson Memorial Hospital. Initially, it looked like a tragic accident. But the investigation took a dark turn. The office of the Miami-Dad Medical Examiner conducted a dead body on 29 June. Surprisingly, they found no water in Aria’s lungs or stomach, deciding to drown. Instead, the examiner cut her mouth and hurt her cheeks, which are injuries to suit smoothing. In addition, Aria’s stomach was empty, refuting Gupta’s claim that he had dinner around 9 pm. These conclusions assured the officials that Gupta killed his daughter and put her in the pool to cover her. Custody battle angle Adding the complexity in the case, Gupta, his ex -husband, Dr. Saurabh was in a warm detention battle with Talathi. According to reports, Talathi was unaware that Gupta had taken Aria to Florida.
