China’s three astronauts from the Shenzhou-20 mission are coming home today. They will land in the grasslands of Inner Mongolia, in northern China.

The crew – Commander Chen Dong, Chen Zhongrui, and Wang Jie – spent more than four months in space. They lived and worked on China’s Tiangong space station. All three are healthy and ready to return.

Their spaceship, called Shenzhou-21, will bring them back to Earth. The landing site is called Dongfeng. Teams on the ground are fully prepared. Helicopters, doctors, and rescue workers are waiting.

The return was delayed. It was first planned for November 5. But tiny pieces of space junk may have hit the Shenzhou-20 spacecraft. Chinese space officials wanted to be safe. They checked everything carefully before giving the okay to come home.

China’s space program keeps growing. The country now sends people to space twice a year. The next mission, Shenzhou-22, will launch soon. New astronauts will take over at the space station.

The Shenzhou-20 team did many jobs in space. They tested new tools, grew plants, and studied how the human body changes without gravity. Their work helps China plan for longer missions – even a base on the Moon.

China wants to put astronauts on the Moon by 2030. The United States, India, and private companies are also racing to the Moon. Space is becoming busy again.

For the three astronauts, today is a big day. After months of floating in space, they will feel Earth’s gravity again. They will breathe fresh air. They will hug their families.

Millions of people in China – and around the world – will watch the landing live. It is a proud moment for the country’s space team.
